Thanks to You, Our Work got Honored In a Big Way!
CAUSE Named a 2023 State of California Nonprofit of the Year
Assemblymember Bennett recognized the hard work of our team, community leaders, and volunteers by awarding CAUSE as the nonprofit of the year for Assembly District 38 this June
As you know, building grassroots power is difficult, long-term work. It’s remarkable that after 20+ years of organizing working and immigrant families throughout the Central Coast – for economic, environmental, and social justice – we are being celebrated by our assemblymember for all that we have accomplished. Over the years, we have strengthened tenant protections, increased investments in farmworkers, improved representation in our cities, secured environmental protections, and so much more.
Our work and these accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without this community we built together. We appreciate all that you have contributed over the years through making your voice heard by taking action, attending and hosting house meetings, community events, and supporting our work through generous donations.
This award belongs to all of us on the Central Coast working to create a economy that is just and environmentally sustainable. Together, let’s keep building grassroots power through community organizing, leadership development, civic engagement, and advocacy to continue addressing the issues of today while securing a better future for those to come.
Your generous donations help us keep up this transformative work throughout the Central Coast — thank you for any contribution that feels generous to you!
