Jay M. Chotirmal
Communications Manager

Jay Chotirmal was born and raised in the Central Coast. Following high school, Jay attended SBCC and then transferred to UC Berkeley where he received a BA in Economics with a minor in Public Policy. Following college, Jay moved to New York to start his career in independent media working at Democracy Now! He then got involved in political communications in the United States Senate and on the campaign trail in 2018. Most recently, Jay has been working for the statewide non-profit Courage California as the Senior Communications and Voter Engagement Manager. He is excited to join the CAUSE team as the Communications Manager, bringing the experience he’s gained over the years to support campaigns for justice in the community that raised him.
