Maria Navarro

Maria was born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia. She immigrated to Oxnard at an early age and has lived there ever since. She finished her B.A. at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she majored in Political Science and History. She then fulfilled her lifelong goal of joining the Peace Corps, where she lived in Guanacaste, Costa Rica for a year and eight months. Maria joined CAUSE as a Policy Advocate where she focuses on housing and tenant issues. Maria loves to travel everywhere and also loves riding her bike to the beach.
