Nidia Bello
Santa Paula Policy Advocate

Nidia was born in Puebla, Mexico and grew up in South Los Angeles. Her passion for advocacy and working with her community stems from her own experience growing up in South Los Angeles. Even though she faced many barriers to achieve her goals she recognizes all of the community members that advocated for her and her community. Eventually she learned to advocate for herself and her community and for the past four years worked with the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights(CHIRLA) in various capacities to advocate for undocumented students and the immigrant community at the local, state and national level. Nidia graduated from UC Irvine in June of 2018 and studied Psychology and Chicana/o Studies. Nidia is extremely excited to continue to work with the community in Oxnard to create the change that is needed.
