Zuleth joined ready to hit the ground running. Coming to CAUSE with valuable community experience. She joined our staff during a difficult time. Her first day at CAUSE was the first day of the stay-at-home order issued in California due to COVID-19. Regardless of the challenge, a full year later, Zuleth has worked to build and retain a powerful committee of immigrant and farmworker adults and high school youth in Oxnard. She organized grassroots leaders to push for rent control in Oxnard. Turning out 60 community leaders at a time to multiple meetings. She has kept the Oxnard community up to date during the pandemic through her Facebook engagement and Radio M info sessions. Her work continued, engaging youth in local housing justice campaigns as well as environmental justice and farmworker right campaigns. Advocating for clean air for Oxnard and safe working and living conditions for farmworkers in Ventura County. We are lucky to have Zuleth and congratulate her on her one year anniversary at CAUSE.
